The Guy Who Reads Settings Menus for Fun
I am Nelson Wilson, and I have a confession: I enjoy settings menus almost as much as the games themselves. It started with Destiny 2, where one wrong sensitivity value could ruin a Trials weekend. These days that obsession covers everything I play, from extraction shooters to a fresh WoW Forever account that still needs its keybinds sorted.
My Current Setup Philosophy
No supercomputer stories here. My rule is simple: the interface should disappear. If I notice my frames, my audio, or my buttons during a fight, something is misconfigured, and I fix it the same evening. That habit produced most of the settings guides on this site.
Concretely, that means: FOV tuned until motion feels honest, not flashy. Audio mixed so footsteps sit above effects but below voice chat. Keybinds clustered around movement keys, with nothing important exiled to the far side of the keyboard. Proximity VOIP tested before the raid, never during it. None of this is exotic, which is exactly why it works.

Games on the Desk Right Now
- WoW Forever: Group etiquette for solo queuers, calm dungeon routes, and an interface profile built from zero.
- Destiny 2: Pinnacle power-cap grinding, Master Raid survival, Flawless Trials attempts, and lore deep dives.
- ARC Raiders: Speranza Hub settings, gadget trajectories, and heavy machine encounters.
- Everything else: Whatever my friends install this month, tested the same rigorous way.
A Normal Week of Testing
Monday is maintenance: drivers, addon updates, keybind check in one normal dungeon. Wednesday is the main session, usually with the guild. Sunday is for experiments, the weird ideas that either become guides or funny stories. Anything I publish survived at least two of those weeks.

- Trim addons down to the useful few
Before I touch a quest, I open the interface options. In WoW that means camera distance, nameplates, keybinds and which addons earn a spot. Classic-style leveling rewards a tidy setup, because a cluttered screen costs you in dungeons. I like professions for the same reason: small systems with clear inputs. Gold matters less to me than bag space. Raids come when my setup stops getting in the way, and I tweak between pulls if something annoys me.
